I’m Maya, a dynamic leader who has mastered the art of adaptability, visionary leadership, and community-driven impact, blending the strategic drive of my East Coast upbringing with the creative ingenuity of the “Best Coast,” which I’ve called home for over a decade.

I believe how something is experienced matters as much as what it is.

My work focuses on shaping how leaders, organizations, and communities are experienced—especially during moments when trust, clarity, and credibility are being tested. Over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked across luxury, consumer, and mission-driven environments, partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to design experiences that align vision with perception.

I operate at the intersection of leadership, culture, communications, and experience—helping organizations translate strategy into moments people can feel, understand, and trust. My background spans executive engagement, internal communications, organizational storytelling, and large-scale experience design, always with an emphasis on coherence over performance.

In addition to my institutional work, I’m the founder of Ivywood, a strategic studio exploring image architecture and soft power—how authority, presence, and perception shape leadership and long-term impact.

Beyond my professional career, I am a dedicated community advocate. I am a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, currently serving as the Northern California Cluster Coordinator for the Far Western Region, where I support and advocate for members and communities across the Bay Area and Northern California.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
